The prelims
Deonna Purazzo vs Gisele Shaw was as standard as expected. Wasn't sure who'd go over here but am glad (albeit with outside interference) Gisele got the nod. She's been great over here in the UK for a few years now appearing for the likes of RevPro, Progress & Wrestle Carnival et al and is thoroughly deserving of a push. Long may it continue. Though Gresham Vs Speedball would be a little better. Was still a good, solid match-up and would have definitely have benefitted from anpther 5mins. Was surprised with the Gresham win but not complaining. I stand by my thinking that Speedball is deserving of a main event push this year.
Kazarian Vs Kon
Yeah it wasn't a great match. More of a storyline filler than anything else. Kaz was always winning but was surprised they've gone for putting a wedge between Calahan / The Design so soon. Thought there'd be a lot more mileage here before a split was teased.
Death Dollz Vs The Hex
I guess The Hex returning was a one hit wonder. A weak match IMO and could have been so much better. Don't think anyone got over here. Let's move on. #AndStill
Hendry Vs Moose
I instantly dislike any championship match where the champ comes out first, and that was the best bit. I really wanted Hendry to show what he can do with a serious match - NOPE!
I hate these kind of matches. The Zayn / Jackass match was the only one I have ever mildly enjoyed. This was not. Next.
Live Busted Open - Bully & Dreamer -> Yeah, move on, next
Myers Vs Heath Vs PCO Vs Maclin
The correct winner. A solid match but nothing memorable. Wanted more from this match nut it never quite lit up.
Thought it was strange not to have Eddie Edwards & Trey Miguel on the card so I guess we got the answers why.
Kushida / MCMG Vs Bullet Club
Kenta is so much better than the version we were allowed to see in NXT / WWE. An excellent match, which begs the question - why's the crowd so dead? I get it for the Bully Ray bit and sure, the crowds have been dead on TV forever, but for this!?! Come on guys, get into it.
James Vs Slamovich
Decent but can't say much more than that. Expected another "off" finish to extend it further but looks like they want to get back to the James Vs Grace programme as soon as they can.
Josh Alexander Vs Rich Swann
Definitely gonna be a good match but there's just no chance of Swann taking it. Expecting something happening at / towards the end to set up Alexander's next opponent, possibly from the 4way.
Not enough for me really. Standard fare throughout with a couple of above average matches. Decent plot developments but nowhere near as good as I expected unfortunately. 2 steps forward, 2 step back. 5 out of 10.
